☀️ RBV Band Families, it’s time to hit the beach! ☀️

Happy First Day of School! Before we dive headfirst into marching season, let’s take a day to relax, have some fun, and enjoy time together at the Big Band Beach Day!

Saturday, August 15

Noon Oceanside Harbor Tower 12 & Picnic Area

Bring the whole family, your beach gear, and your appetite! The RBV Band Boosters will provide hot dogs and drinks, and we’re making this a potluck, so please check out the sign-up and see what you can bring to help make the day a great one!

This is our chance to cut loose, soak up some sunshine, and enjoy each other’s company before the busy marching season officially kicks into high gear! If you have games or beach play things you'd like to bring, please feel free.

A few important notes:

This is a non-chaperoned, non-school event. There will be no student roll call or check-in/check-out. We strongly encourage parents and families to stay with their students and enjoy the day together.

Families are responsible for their own transportation to and from the beach. Please use your best judgment, be aware of your surroundings, and consider your own and your student’s swimming/water skills. There may or may not be a lifeguard on duty, so please plan accordingly.

We can’t wait to see everyone at the beach! Let’s have one last big summer splash before we get down to business!

We’re excited for the year ahead and are here to help make it a great experience for every student. Your time, donations, and volunteer support make this program possible. It was wonderful to see so many alumni and alumni parents there. Thank you all for coming out!

Please watch for emails throughout the year from the Boosters, directors, and event chairs with important updates, schedules, volunteer opportunities, and event information. You can also stay up to date through the calendars at rbvband.org.

This start of the year may look a little different while field construction continues, but we’re committed to making sure your students get the most out of their Band experience.

A few important updates:

Senior Night will be held in October once the field is ready. A final date will be announced soon.
The September 4 home football game has been cancelled.
The September 18 game will be held at Vista High School.
