MEET OUR STAFF
Mr. Weirather has been the director of bands at Rancho Buena Vista for twenty two years. He has been teaching music for twenty eight years in public schools. He is only the third director at RBV since the school opened in 1987.
Assistant Band Director
This is Jordan's third year with Rancho Buena Vista and second year as assistant director.
Color Guard Coach
Diana Gallardo is a Steele Canyon High School Alumni where she performed with their Color Guard team for all four years of high school. After graduating, she began coaching and auditioned for Vox Artium, a Winter Guard International group who competes across the United States and has placed in the top 10 of their division for the past 6 years. She was a member of the team from 2013-2018 and had the honor to be made Captain for her last 3 years with the Vox Artium Program. Currently, she is attending school to earn a degree in Psychology and Early Childhood Development and hopes to also Minor in Dance. She hopes to instill a passion for Color Guard in her students and strives to create a safe environment for them to grow in.
Assistant Color guard Coach
Chance Webb started his color guard career his sophomore year at Patrick Henry High School, located in San Diego, CA. After graduating in 2014, he auditioned for Vox Artium Winterguard, where he marched from 2015-2017, while also serving as captain during the 2017 season. In 2018 and 2019, he marched with Imbue Winterguard in Modesto, CA. Chance also marched with the Bluecoats in 2016 and 2017 and taught the Blue Knights Color Guard in the summer of 2019.
Besides performing, Chance has an incredible passion for teaching. He considers himself very lucky to have worked with a number of different programs throughout the San Diego area. He is currently the caption head at Patrick Henry High School and Point Loma High School and also works at Mira Mesa High School and Rancho Buena Vista High School.
Henry is a legend in the percussion world and has been with RBV for twenty two years.
Visual Caption Head
Ken has been working with the Rhythm of the ranch for the last nineteen years.
Sofia graduated from RBV and is not the director of bands at Orange Glenn. She spends her free time helping with the marching band in the fall.
Lauren graduated from RBV and has worked with our percussion students for the past six years.
Dorea has been teaching the clarinet section at RBV for thirty five years.
Kristen has been working with the flute sections for the past six years.
Low Brass Coach
James has been working with RBV for almost twenty years working with the marching band, wind ensembles and most recently with the low brass.
French Horn Coach
Warren has been teaching our horn sections for over ten years.
Rachael is one of the best trumpet teachers/players in the county and RBV is lucky to have her working with our trumpet players.
