Rancho Bernardo Field Tournament is Tomorrow! Help us get uniforms clean!
Hi Band Families!
Uniform Washing Help Needed
We need some parent help with washing uniforms after tomorrow’s tournament. We need approximately 10 volunteers to take home 10–12 uniforms each, wash them, and return them by Thursday.
If you’re able to help, please email uniforms@rbvband.org. By dividing the work we make this easier on everyone!
Uniforms will be available for pickup after Saturday’s tournament.
Thank you to all of the families who help support our students throughout tournament season. We’re looking forward to a great first competition tomorrow!

We are on the field tonight! We're thrilled to be on our brand new field for tonight's football game, and it’s officially tournament season! Our first tournament is tomorrow at Rancho Bernardo High School, and we’re excited to get the season underway.
For our new band families, attending a field tournament is a little different from a typical game. A few things to know:
It’s a long day! Students will be at the tournament or at RBV for all day, and families are welcome to come and go as they like. You do not need to stay for the entire event, but arriving early is smart. Parking can be crowded at many of the tournaments we attend, and you will not be allowed to enter the seats while a band is performing.
Support the hosting school. Just as our field tournament is a important fundraiser for our band, it's the same for the schools we visit. If you're hungry, get a snack. Those funds help the band out.
Be prepared for the weather. Tomorrow is expected to be hot, so bring sunscreen, a hat, water, and anything else you need to stay comfortable. Please also make sure your student eats a good meal before arriving and brings a full water bottle.
When students perform, make some noise! The kids love seeing their families in the stands. Cheer them on, and feel free to take photos and videos during their performance.
Be aware of restricted areas. Students have a very busy schedule before and after their performance, so please allow the directors, staff, and students room to work. Spectators should remain in the designated viewing areas and should not enter the student areas unless specifically asked to do so.
All Quiet On Set! This is a competition and bands are being recorded. While bands are performing audiences are encouraged to listen and cheer, but excessive or loud talking or using any sort of noise makers is not allowed. You will not be allowed to enter stands while a band is on the field, and should avoid exiting the stands when a performance is happening if possible. Each band is on the field for just about 15 minutes.
