RBV BAND - Trunk or Treat is Thursday! Important Update To Location!
Hey Band Families,
We’ve worked hard to stay flexible with a few schedule changes this year, and we have one more adjustment for October.
Due to a playoff game occupying the field, band practice will take place on the CTE pad (blacktop) on Thursday. The good news is that our annual Trunk or Treat is still happening! We’ll be setting up at the opposite end of the CTE pad, opposite from the students.
Here’s what you need to know for Thursday night:
Setup for Trunk or Treat
The entrance ramp off Melrose will open at 7:30 p.m. for parents to enter and set up.
Please park and set up at the far end of the blacktop, as far away from the band practice area as possible. There will be someone from boosters there to help guide you.
Sound Effects and Music
Since we’ll be much closer to the students during practice, please keep all music and sound effects off until students are dismissed.
Once students enter the trunk or treat area - it’s time to turn up the fun and get the party started!
What should you bring?
Whatever you’d like to share! In past years, families have brought chili, drinks, candy, hot dogs, and other treats. Whether you bring something to eat, something to drink, or just your Halloween spirit, we’d love to have you join us. Students are encouraged to be in costume for this practice, and parents are welcome to be in costume and decorate trunks. There is no formal sign up for this event.
Thank you for rolling with these changes and helping us make Trunk or Treat a fun tradition for our band family. We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and support!
Ranchwear will be at trunk or treat! If you have not purchased your show shirt yet, Thursday night is the night. Any one hoping to order a Dickies jacket, please turn in your order form and payment either to the band room drop box or at Trunk or Treat. This will be the last chance to order through the band this year. Order forms are at the band room drop box. You are always welcome to take your order form to Ace Uniform on South Santa Fe at any time as well to order directly from them.

The band is selling delicious Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough. Orders are due by 11/2. Let your kid know what you'd like and pay on delivery or order online at the link below!
Home Tournament is 11/14!
Now that we’ve experienced a few tournaments this season, you’ve seen firsthand just how much these events can contribute to a band’s fundraising efforts, from ticket sales to concessions and merchandise.
Our home tournament is one of the largest in the county, bringing 24 visiting schools to our campus for a full day of competition this year. It’s a huge opportunity for our band to raise much needed funds, but it takes all of us working together to make the event a success!
We need help with concessions, parking, directing guests, ticket sales, ushering, and much more.
Sign up for a volunteer shift, enjoy an incredible day of marching band performances, and help support our students. Every volunteer makes a difference!
