Welcome to the Rancho Buena Vista High School Instrumental Music Department. The school has enjoyed over 25 years of musical and artistic excellence. The program includes two wind ensembles, one concert band, a percussion ensemble, marching band and a large colorguard. The program has traveled over the years to many worldwide locations like China, Europe and Australia.

This year our top wind ensemble was selected to perform at the California All State Music Educators Conference in Fresno, California. This conference is attended by thousands of California’s top student musicians and hundreds of music educators. RBV was the only high school to be selected for this honor.

Our mission at Rancho Buena Vista High School Instrumental music program is to produce highly proficient musicians and colorguard students and prepare them for life through a rigorous program requiring commitment, dedication, teamwork and most of all passion. The arts are vital for creativity and success in an ever changing and competitive world and should always be an integral part of our education, culture and society.

“Life without playing music is inconceivable for me,” he declared.

“I live my daydreams in music.

I see my life in terms of music…

I get most joy in life out of music.” – Albert Einstein
